Hello, my name is Bree, and over the last 10 years I have created three small businesses; Bopstars, Pakmag and Pakmarketing Group.

Each are sufficient in their own right, but they all intertwine and work extremely well together. I love what I do, and it rarely feels like work to me.

Bopstars is an entertainment business and, as its slogan suggests, "it's all about entertainment". For children and families we provide kids parties, jumping castles, trivia nights, face painting and a show similar to Hi5 for the kids. For the adults we do solo, duo, trio, full band, plus karaoke, trivia, MC/Hosting and DJ.

PakMarketing Specialises in marketing and events for Parents and Kids. It was established for our clients who needed assistance with marketing strategies, event organisation, and effective branding of their business.

Pakmag is a monthly publication that targets mums with kids 0-14 and we have just celebrated our 3rd birthday! We have interesting editorial, activities, competitions, and a new monthly event called PakClub for families to meet the second Sunday of the month. The July school holiday edition is out now, so make sure you grab a copy if you have kids under 14 or if you want a good local read.

I am blessed to earn a living from things that I am very passionate about, I love the people of Cairns and I am so lucky that they support so many things that we do.

I was extremely humbled to be nominated and it was wonderful for me to look back whilst doing my submission. So if you do get nominated, I strongly urge you to participate, even if it's just so you stop and give yourself a pat on the back.
