The 2009 Cairns Business Woman of the Year is:
Sally Mlikota - CBC Staff Selection
Sally has made a big impression in the Cairns Region by Creating Success with people. Her business aims to consistently surpass the expectations of clients, team and colleagues. She is charming and a master at Networking. She has a great life balance, delegates well, empowers her team by providing her time, her advice, her wisdom, her empathy and her encouragement. Her turnover of staff is very low and her business very successful.
The 2009 Small Business Woman of the Year is:
Roz Howland - InOrder Professional Organising
Leadership, inspiration, empowerment, determination, creativity and networking have made Roz a big success and helped her stand out and be respected in her industry and Cairns region.
She has built a support group around her to provide structure, advice, motivation and related services. Her special gift is to provide any special help, advice and support to her clients when they need it. Compassion is key to her business.
The Winner of the 2009 Hilton Cairns CBWC Young Female Entrepreneur of the Year is:
Bree James - Bop Stars, Pak Mag and Pak Marketing
Bree is passionate, energetic, creative, innovative, confident, and an inspiring natural leader who is determined to succeed; and to give generously of her time and talents to help our community.
She stands out in the Cairns Region through her THREE separate but interconnected businesses.
The Winner of the 2009 Status Plus CBWC Manager in Business Award is:
Kim Hayes - Turner and Townsend
Kim winner has longevity in a male dominated industry. She has risen to leadership positions as they have become available. She clearly displays a commitment to her team, her company and her industry. Kim has the desire to develop career paths for her team as an inclusive unit. Her decisions and management have achieved expected budgets and generated increased profits. The success of her role relies heavily on negotiations and relationships.
The 2009 Jean Skea Encouragement Award Winner is:
Annalisa Siefken - IpSeity Hair and Beauty
Annalisa is vibrant, creative and strategic. She has a clear vision and is already living some of her dreams through her solid business structure and the support it has allowed her to build. She is very community minded and willing to promote other businesses and learn from them.
