Annual General Meeting Notice
As a member we encourage you to attend the AGM, the full meeting details are below.
Some of the current Board members will be retiring their positions at the next AGM which creates an exciting opportunity for new people, new skills, new enthusiasm and ideas to grow and enhance the organisation.
There are a variety of positions and roles on the CBWC Board. Every position is declared vacant at the AGM prior to the election being held Thursday 22nd March at Hilton Cairns 5pm.
A special resolution is proposed to rescind the existing Constitution and adopt a new Constitution for the Cairns Business Women’s Club to ensure that the rules of the association reflect modern business and governance practices and are compliant with existing legislation.

The CBWC Board has received legal advice from Williams Graham Carmen that the proposed new constitution is compliant with legislation and meets the operational requirements of the Cairns Business Women’s Club. The special resolution will be carried if 75% of members in attendance at the AGM vote to adopt the new Constitution.
